Beer City

Our best beer guide ever.

FAT BOTTOM
Ben Bredesen & chef Corey Hargis have some of the best taproom food in town, and they’re bringing their talents to the Nations in summer 2016. Oh, and some mighty fine beer.

SOUTHERN GRIST
Try the BroCoNut, Nashville’s first and only Coconut IPA, at East Nashville’s newest nanobrewery and taproom. Grab a crowler for the walk home!

SMITH & LENTZ
We love this East Nashville spot for its broad range of exceptionally well-executed beers, and also for the ping-pong tables.

EAST NASHVILLE BEER WORKS
News alert! Look for this brewery and community taproom to open June 2016.

CORSAIR
These spirit makers are brewing unique high gravity selections in Marathon Village, Yazoo’s original home.

BLACKSTONE BREWPUB & RESTAURANT
Sip Nashville’s most award-winning beers in a full-service restaurant on West End.

TENNESSEE BREW WORKS
Head brewer Dr. Laura Burns is producing some of the most interesting, complex beers in Music City, and Chef Jay Mitchell is making some of the best food in Nashville 7 days a week.

CZANN’S
A cozy taproom that serves authentic Chicago deep-dish pizza by 312 Pizza Company and is typically manned by brewmaster Ken Rebman himself. Try their Blonde, an easy drinking ale.

JACKALOPE
Nashville’s first woman-owned brewery earns our respect for their great beer. Find their Thunder Ann and seasonal Lovebird Strawberry- Raspberry at stores around town.

YAZOO
A southern original since 2003 that actually started with a homebrewing kit bought from Rolling Stone by founder/brewmaster Linus Hall.

BEARDED IRIS
Beers as unique as the state flower of Tennessee, for which it is named. Always a good thing.

LITTLE HARPETH
Their enormous warehouse space has a working brewery feel with the best view in town (and a string band every Friday). They specialize in lagers, perfect for the novice craft beer drinker.

BLACK ABBEY
These modern day monks brewing Belgian style ales are inspired by ancient traditions. Go see why they call their taproom “Fellowship Hall.”

TAILGATE
The Official Craft Beer of Tailgating! Two new beers brewed every week. Did we hear someone say Peanut Butter Milk Stout?

MANTRA ARTISAN ALES
Adventure ahead. Chef Maneet Chauhan (of Chauhan Ale and Masala house), is brewing globally-inspired, exotic craft beers with daring flavor profiles. Try the Japa, a chaispiced milk stout, or the Saffron IPA.

COOL SPRINGS BREWERY
While adult-themed beers might not seem consistent with the suburban strip mall location, this brewery has a sense of humor. Their lineup includes The Pecker Wrecker IPA, Titches Wit Belgian Wit, and Nice Rack Mango IPA. The best part: it’s good!

TURTLE ANARCHY
(new location in The Nations coming soon) No turtles or anarchists were harmed in the making of this beer.

HONKY TONK
With $2 pints at their “4:20 Power Hour,” they are definitely bringing the fun to the MetroCenter area.

MAYDAY
A taproom appealing to the teenage boy in all of us, featuring good beer.

CALF KILLER (Sparta, TN)
Two brothers make Don & Dave Sergio. Sergio’s Ole Evil-Ass Devil Bullshit Ale and the Scorned Hooker. Need we say more?

ROCK BOTTOM
This downtown brewery’s slogan is appropriate for its location on lower Broadway: “Life begins once you’ve hit Rock Bottom.”
