Why We Love It: We love this intimate restaurant's understated elegance, which you might say, describes owner Seema Prasad as well. You can eat on the back patio, which is surrounded by gardens and fruit trees, one of which is a hybrid tree of peaches and plums. They never know which fruit it will bear. In addition they grow tomatoes on the roof, making it uber-local. Those local ingredients meet French techniques in the cooking of Chef Andrew Coins. If you can get a seat at the tiny bar, it's a great respite from the hustle-bustle just outside the doors. A small adjacent building (that used to be a car repair garage) is the perfect private dining room that echoes the rustic charm of the main dining room. “The word miel means Honey. It’s straightforward like us. We’re in a concrete building for heaven’s sake.” Proprietor, Seema Prasad
