Carols, Christmas, and Cappucino

Meet Jacob Marley at the Dickens of a Christmas celebration in Downtown Franklin, where he’ll be one of about 200 costumed characters roaming the historic district for a free yuletide festival. Favorite Dickens’ characters like Oliver Twist, Ebenezer Scrooge, and Tiny Tim will be there, along with Mother and Father Christmas. Carriage rides, Christmas carols, live entertainment, and shopping at the holiday arts and crafts bazaar will be fun for all. For sustenance, walk over to The Coffee House @ Second and Bridge.

Dinner and Dancing

At least one Saturday night a month, you and your honey can put on your bolo tie and your flared skirt to properly do-si-do around one of Nashville’s most charming new event spaces. Actually, The Old School is more than an event space: it’s a renovated 1936 school house on nine acres of sustainably farmed land that employs adults with developmental disabilities. The Farm Bar, their newly opened café, provides an authentic farm-to-table experience.
